rock star Neil Young is suing President Donald Trump, due to the use of his songs at campaign events. The 74-year-old musician published Tuesday on its Website, a lawsuit against trump’s re-election campaign. Young accuses the right-wing populists because of the playback of the Songs “Rockin’ In The Free World” and “Devil’s Sidewalk” copyright infringement and demands for each additional violation $ 150,000 in damages.
Young could not allow his music “will be used as the ‘title song’ for a divisive, UN-American campaign of ignorance and hatred”, – said in the undated statement of claim. The canadian-born musician who now has also American citizenship, had called Trump, in the past, as a “shame” for America.
Many musicians have complained that Trump in the election campaign appearances to play their Songs, including Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, Aerosmith and Adele.
