The call for unity in view of the European elections of 2024. On Saturday June 17, at the end of its “Representative Assembly”, rebellious France launched an invitation to its militants and to those of the other organizations of the coalition of left Nupes to put pressure on the refractory directions to a common list.
A text called “Deepening the Nupes to make it win”, prepared by the management and enriched by the contribution of activists during the day organized at La Bellevilloise, in Paris, is submitted to the online vote of the Insoumis until June 28. He asks for the constitution of a common list for the European elections, despite the repeated refusals of the national secretary of EELV Marine Tondelier, and the reservations of the socialist and communist staffs.
“LFI activists are very attached to Nupes, they consider that the results are positive, that it has made it possible to achieve initial victories”, declared Manuel Bompard, the coordinator of the movement founded by Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

But “today we say something more, we are ready to meet with each of the organizations to discuss the program”. “We have a good foundation, studies show that we voted 80% together in the European Parliament,” he said, while the Socialists also said they were ready to discuss the substance.
Environmentalists, for their part, believe that the proportional vote and crucial differences do not offer the opportunity for an agreement. Finally, LFI proposes to deepen the Nupes by creating the “agora” of discussion with intellectuals, announced several months ago. “Faced with obstacles, we are ready to do it with all those who want it,” warned Manon Aubry.
