On the program for this Sunday, the general secretary of the French Communist Party, Fabien Roussel, will debate with the former Prime Minister and mayor of Le Havre, Edouard Philippe. European Heritage Days. This Sunday again, many monuments are open to visitors on an exceptional basis, as part of the 40th edition of the European Heritage Days. Among the emblematic visits, the presidential palace of the Elysée, in Paris, expects around 10,000 visitors over the entire weekend.
Car-free day in Paris. Paris town hall is organizing a car-free day this Sunday. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., “everyone is invited to leave their motorized vehicle in the garage to enjoy Paris differently, by public transport, by bike, on foot, on rollerblades or on a scooter,” indicates the city website. A barrier system will be put in place around the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements of the capital as well as on the Champs-Elysées.

Ursula von der Leyen in Lampedusa. The President of the European Commission is visiting the Italian island of Lampedusa this Sunday, at the invitation of the head of the Italian government Georgia Meloni. For a week, the island has been submerged by a migratory wave for which local infrastructures are not prepared. Georgia Meloni called on the European Union for help.
