The Dublin rules provide that refugees must return to country in which y first entered EU. From January to May, according to report, German authorities have applied se rules in 38 percent of all procedures – and thus more often than in previous years: 2017 were thus still 33 percent, 2016 almost eight percent.

Deportations mainly to Italy

Most of requests went to Italy, according to information, almost 1,400 people were sent back re. According to federal government, a total of 9,200 cases were requested in Italy.

The left-wing politician Ulla Jelpke holds new figures for no good news. In Süddeutsche Zeitung, she spoke of “forced Redistributions” in Dublin system, which are “inhumane and ineffective” – and would not continue to work in future.
