In the debate about Fan participation in the German football wants Bayern Munich’s honorary President Uli Hoeness from the Ultras more moderation. “Football belongs to everyone and it is very important that the Ultras realize that they are also an important Element, but not all of it alone may determine”, said Hoeness (68) in The “Sonntags-Stammtisch” in BR TV. “I am always for cooperation, but also the Ultras need to know that the football without Ultras is possible.”
Hoeneß recalled the Bundesliga game at the end of February between 1899 Hoffenheim and FC Bayern, as the game status due to insults of Bayern fans against the hope Heimer patron of the arts and Hoeness-friend Dietmar Hopp prior to the crash. After such incidents, these Fans would not be surprised that the “clubs take measures against this.”
That many Ultras to mind games strictly reject a rating of Hoeness as indicative. “You have not proven to me that you are not so much about the club but to themselves and present themselves”, was the long-time Bayern Boss. “If the spirit of the games had not taken place we would have in the first and in the second League or Association that it no longer would be in professional football,” said Hoeness on.
