Olympique de Marseille have inherited a difficult draw for the group stage of the Europa League on Friday, September 1: the Marseillais will have to face Ajax Amsterdam, the English of Brighton and the Greeks of AEK Athens.
Stade Rennes will have to get rid of the Spaniards of Villarreal (winners of the trophy in 2021), the Israelis of Maccabi Haifa (who played in the Champions League last season) and the Greeks of Panathinaikos (fallers of OM this summer then eliminated in the Champions League play-offs).
Toulouse FC will challenge the English from Liverpool, the Austrians from Linzer ASK and the Belgians from Union Saint-Gilloise, a club from Brussels.
