Multiple reports claim that Washington acquired Kristaps Porzingis, a Dallas Mavericks player, in return for Spencer Dinwiddie (and Davis Bertans).

After Porzingis was purchased by the franchise before the 2019 deadline, the deal signifies the end of his time in Dallas.

This deal features Porzingis, a former NBA All-Star.
Porzingis has averaged 19.2 points, 7.7 boards, and 1.7 blocks per contest this season. However, he is shooting only 28.3 percent from the 3-point line.
Porzingis was sidelined with a knee injury and has not been able to play since Jan. 29, 2009.
The Mavericks also receive Dinwiddie as a secondary ballhandler, to be used alongside Luka Doncic, their star guard. Dinwiddie is currently back on the court after sustaining a torn ACL in 2013. He is averaging 12.6 point, 5.8 assists, and 4.7 rebounds through 44 matches this season.
Bertans is best known for his 3-point shooting. He has appeared in only 34 games and averaged 5.7 points per game while shooting 31.9 percent from the deep.
