Despite high inflation and gloomy economic prospects, Apple does not expect demand to slump. According to a report, the tech giant wants to present its new iPhone in early September. It shouldn’t be the only novelty.
According to a report, Apple plans to present its latest iPhones and smartwatches on September 7th. This is reported by the financial news agency Bloomberg News, citing insiders. Accordingly, the US company plans to present the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Pro and the Apple Watch Series 8 on that day.
The iPhone 14 will reportedly come with a better camera but will otherwise see only minor tech improvements. There will also be a version with a 6.7-inch screen, while Apple apparently wants to forgo the 5.4-inch mini version of the model. The Pro version should get a faster chip. Video recordings and the battery should also improve. The presentation should therefore also be streamed this time.
Apple Store employees are said to be preparing for a major product launch on Friday, September 16th. Despite high inflation and gloomy economic forecasts, the company does not expect demand to collapse. Group staff are scheduled to work on site for three days starting September 5.
An Apple spokeswoman declined to comment on the presentation date. However, the first half of September is the usual period when the company introduces the latest iPhone version. According to the report, the new operating systems for the iPhone and Apple Watch will also be presented in September. Apple unveiled its latest software updates in June.
