On Monday, the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense said it detected 12 Chinese warships and 91 aircraft around the island. China has said it has mobilized fighter jets “carrying live ammunition” to carry out “simulated strikes” near Taiwan, as well as its aircraft carrier Shandong, a first, according to the Chinese military, for exercises. military including the encirclement of Taiwan.

Support from the Kremlin and concern from Japan
