Lorsch (dpa/lhe) – A 37-year-old was seriously injured in a fire accident in his own apartment in Lorsch (Bergstrasse district) on Saturday. According to initial police investigations, he had previously handled a spirit bottle. His roommate was alerted by screams and smothered the flames with a blanket. The 37-year-old was flown to a special clinic in a rescue helicopter. The damage to property in the apartment is estimated at a low four-digit amount.
