Alerheim (dpa / lby) – In the Swabian district of Donau-Ries, a cat was shot and injured. After the incident on Tuesday, the owner had to take his four-legged friend to a veterinarian, a police spokeswoman said on Wednesday. The cat was therefore treated on the front leg. Police believe the shot was fired from an airgun.
In the past few weeks there have been several shots at cats in the Donau-Ries district. At the beginning of the week, a cat in Marxheim was also slightly injured with an airgun, and in mid-September a cat was found in Rain with a 4.5 millimeter lead bullet in the chest area.
In all three cases, the perpetrator is unknown. The shots were spatially far apart, said a police spokeswoman. A connection is therefore rather unlikely.
