A small step aside, but a great architectural leap! Established since 2002 in Palaiseau, the Danone group’s research and innovation center has transferred the activity of its 600 employees to In’Cube, a new flagship of 21,500 m2 spread over four levels, erected in the ZAC du Moulon, at the heart of the Paris-Saclay scientific cluster. The particularity of this brand new liner designed by the Arte Charpentier agency, next to the École Normale Supérieure and the future laboratory of the pharmaceutical group Servier? The organization of the premises around a monumental central atrium all in wood. A “village square” bathed in overhead light (shed roof) which offers vertical circulations and passageways distributing the various premises. Another singularity, a food lab where the yogurts produced in situ are tested. “Behind the yoghurt pot, there is science, nutrition and health”, recalls Antoine de Saint-Affrique, new CEO of Danone since 2021§

This is the share of French people who claim that no energy renovation work is planned within their condominium. 51% say they don’t know which ones to undertake, and 57% say they have not received information on the financial aid available to carry out this thermal improvement*.
The Climate and Resilience Act obliges, since January 1, 2023, the condominium buildings in our country must gradually undergo an energy performance diagnosis, which will then be translated into a multi-year work plan (PPL). The success of the energy renovation of a condominium requires collaboration between the co-owners, the union council and the condominium manager. But 59% of French people questioned note that the subject is only broached by their trustee during general meetings (compulsory at least once a year). Between new regulatory directives and explosion of the energy budget, 54% of respondents say they have not been warned of the increase in their charges, 49% more generally pointing to a lack of advice to control the energy consumption of their building. 52% of French people would like their syndic to be more proactive and offensive on these subjects.
