Mercadona continues to expand by Portugal and announces the opening in 2022 of its first supermarkets in the large metropolitan area of Lisbon, specifically in Setúbal and Montijo, according to the teaching in a statement.

Specifically, the supermarket chain has already opened the selection process of more than 100 workers for the stores of both Lisboeta localities, where it is committed to “quality creation of quality”.

The company chaired by Juan Roig has emphasized that the opening of these two new stores in the district of Setúbal represent a “great step” in the expansion of the company since they disembarked in the LUSO market.

On the other hand, Mercadona in its ‘Roadmap’ of expansion has also confirmed the opening of new supermarkets in the northern area of Portugal for 2022, which will be located in Guimarães, Braga and Varzim Póvoa.
