Cats Protection’s Leeds Cat Centre is hosting its annual Christmas Fayre at St Peter’s Church in Gildersome on Saturday, 30 November, from 10am to 1pm. The event will feature games like teddy and bottle tombolas, craft stalls for unique Christmas gifts, and treats for furry friends. There will also be seasonal cakes, sweet treats, and hot drinks available for all attendees to enjoy.

Laura Grice, the Centre Manager, expressed her excitement for the event, emphasizing that it is a fun way to support cats in need while spreading holiday cheer. All proceeds from the Christmas Fayre will directly benefit the care of cats and kittens at the centre, which is experiencing a growing waiting list for assistance.

One of the cats hoping to find a new home this holiday season is Jasper, a 12-year-old who has faced challenges and medical issues but is now ready for a peaceful retirement in a loving environment. Additionally, Pablo and Gusto, an inseparable pair of sweet-natured cats with matching half-moustaches, are seeking a forever home together. These bonded felines, aged 12 and 11, provide each other with comfort and support.
