49.9% of Spaniards do not intend to go on vacation this summer, while 45.1% will go on vacation or have already moved and 4.9% do not know or doubt, according to the center barometer
of Sociological Research (CIS), corresponding to the month of July.
In addition, the survey reveals that this summer national tourists will stay in Spain, since an 88.8% will travel through Spain and only 8.8% have planned to go abroad.

More than two weeks will be the most frequent duration in which Spaniards plan to go on vacation, as the election of 29.4% of respondents.
Between one and two weeks and a week are the other options most chosen, with 28.7% and 27.4%, respectively.

On the other hand, the CIS barometer aims for coastal places are preferred destinations for 58.8% of Spanish travelers, followed by the rural municipality (20.5%), inner city (15.3%), the islands
(11.9%) or travel en route (8.2%).

As for the type of accommodation, 34.8% of respondents prefer a hotel or aparthotel to spend their holidays, being the full housing rental, which includes tourist apartments (20.1%);
The second home and family housing, friends or company, both with 19.1%, other preferred options.

On the preferred type of transport to move towards the tourist destination, the particular vehicle is the best option, chosen by 78.6% of travelers, being the plane, with 18.1%, the second shuttle option, followed by
by the train (4.6%) and the rental vehicle (4.4%).

In addition, 52.7% of respondents do consider it necessary to implement sanitary measures to have a safe vacation.
Among these measures the most necessary are more resources to strengthen the health system, strengthen security protocols in collective transport and tourism activities.

Other options considered to increase safety but not so necessary are limiting the capacity in the pools and beaches, mandatory mask use and an app for the monitoring of the traceability of contagions.
