British actor Russell Brand was accused by an anonymous actress of alleged sexual assault in 2010 during the filming of a film in New York, according to documents made public this Friday night.

This complaint to the New York State Supreme Court follows accusations by several women and investigations in September and October by the media and police in the United Kingdom of rape, sexual assault and psychological violence.

Russell rejected these accusations in his home country, claiming that his relationships were always “consensual.”

According to the women, the attacks occurred between 2006 and 2013, when Brand, known as the ex-husband of singer Katy Perry, was at the height of his fame working as a presenter for BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4. and acted in Hollywood movies.

In New York, the complaint was filed by an anonymous woman known to American justice as Jane Doe, who alleges that on July 7, 2010 “I was working on the set of the movie Arthur when lead actor Russell Brand sexually assaulted me.” .

Jane Doe said Brand had appeared intoxicated, “smelled of alcohol and was carrying a bottle of vodka on set.”

“He then exposed his penis to me on set and in full view of the entire cast and crew,” he said.

Later that day, Brand followed the actress into a bathroom “and assaulted me, while a member of the production team watched the door from outside,” according to the complaint signed on October 7.

The complaint also targets Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Discovery, MBST Entertainment, BenderSpink and Langley Park Pictures.

The actress declared that, as a result of the attack, “I suffered and continue to suffer extreme shame, embarrassment and fear.”

He said he also feared retaliation from Brand’s millions of fans, followers and subscribers on his social media, where the 48-year-old actor has become an anti-establishment celebrity in recent years.
