Giessen (dpa/lhe) – A former police officer will be tried on Thursday (11.30 a.m.) in front of the Giessen district court for allegedly thwarting criminal prosecution in office. According to the public prosecutor, the man should not have worked on several investigations in Gießen from March 2020 to May 2021. The court and the public prosecutor’s office did not want to give any further details in advance. According to the previous plans, the lay judge wants to give the verdict on Thursday.
