Thuringia: thieves steal heavy safe from residential building

Nordhausen (dpa/th) – Burglars stole a safe with around 50,000 euros and jewelry from a residential building in Nordhausen. The unknown perpetrators entered a woman’s house on Wednesday evening and tracked down the safe, which weighed around 100 kilograms, the police said on Thursday. They stole the entire vault. The stolen jewelry is also worth around 50,000 euros, it said. The Nordhausen criminal police have taken up the investigation and secured extensive evidence.
