If you switch to the Deutschlandticket as a subscription customer, you may have to do without previous offers in your tariff area. In Dresden they want to create additional options for customers. How is it in Saxony-Anhalt?
Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – The transport companies in Halle and Magdeburg are currently not planning any additional options for passengers with the Deutschlandticket. The Hallesche Verkehrs AG (Havag) and the Magdeburger Verkehrsbetriebe (MVB) announced on request that taking people with them was not planned.
The Germany ticket is to start in May as a monthly subscription for 49 euros and be valid nationwide for buses and trains in local and regional transport. In Saxony, the Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe, whose area includes the state capital Dresden, wants to offer an additional ticket. The reason: With the Deutschlandticket, it should not be allowed to take a bicycle, a dog or other people with you. However, many customers are currently using such an offer as part of their previous subscription.
The Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe intends to continue to offer these advantages in its own tariff area for ten euros a month as a supplement to the Deutschlandticket. In Dresden, it should be possible to take a dog or a bicycle with you without time restrictions, as well as another adult and up to four students up to their 15th birthday from Monday to Friday between 6 p.m. and 4 a.m. and all day on weekends and public holidays.
In Saxony-Anhalt, such a model is currently not emerging. “Havag has so far not planned any additional modules or benefits for the introduction of the Germany ticket,” said Stadtwerke Halle on request. It is the same in the state capital. “A campaign similar to that in the Dresden region is currently not planned in the marego network,” said a spokesman for the Magdeburg public transport company.
The Marego network area includes the state capital Magdeburg as well as the districts of Börde, Jerichower Land and the Salzlandkreis. The association wants to stick to its normal subscription offers. When asked whether there could be a take-along option via the Germany ticket, as in Dresden, a spokeswoman said that the form of the Germany ticket was not yet fully available. “For this reason we cannot make a final statement.”
