Hagen (dpa / lnw) – A woman is said to have set fire to her own apartment in Hagen and blocked the escape route of her landlords living in the house. The 28-year-old should have moved out of the apartment by the turn of the year, the police said on Monday. She set fire to her apartment early on New Year’s Eve, then left the two-family house and locked the front door. The landlords were woken up by a smoke detector and were able to get to safety unharmed. The 28-year-old voluntarily surrendered to the police a little later. She is now in custody for attempted murder, among other things.
