Oberaula (dpa/lhe) – A fire broke out in a refugee accommodation in Oberaula in northern Hesse on New Year’s Day. The fire broke out on the first floor of the building, police said on Monday. So far there is no evidence of arson. Several residents were able to get out of the house on their own. A witness who reported the fire and his son pulled out two other residents. The police officers were initially unable to say anything about the cause of the fire. According to initial findings, no one was injured. The police estimate the damage at 15,000 euros.
