Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – The people in Saxony-Anhalt have to be prepared for permafrost. There is severe frost on Friday night, as the German Weather Service announced on Thursday. The temperatures drop to minus 7 to minus 10 degrees Celsius, locally even down to minus 15 degrees. After the dissolution of local fog fields, the day will be sunny and dry in many places. There are cumulus clouds only in the Altmark. The maximum temperatures are between minus 3 degrees in the Burgenland district and 0 degrees on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains.
