Rostock (dpa/mv) – The league game of HC Empor Rostock in the 2nd handball Bundesliga at Eintracht Hagen is cancelled. As the Mecklenburg team announced on Tuesday, the game scheduled for Wednesday (7.30 p.m.) in Hagen had to be canceled at short notice “due to virus infections among numerous Rostock players”. The club did not have a large enough squad to compete in Hagen, it said.
“We would like to thank those responsible at Eintracht Hagen and HBL for accommodating us with our request to postpone the game,” said Empor managing director Stefan Güter. And he confirmed: “We are in close contact with those responsible in Hagen to coordinate a new date.”
