Kamenz (dpa/sn) – Almost 58,000 mentally stressed children and young people received educational help in Saxony last year. Compared to 2020, the number has increased by almost three percent, as the State Statistical Office announced on Wednesday in Kamenz. Of the children and young people affected, 23 percent were younger than six years, 69 percent between 6 and 17 years and 8 percent were of legal age. The main reasons for the help were stress caused by family conflicts (27 percent) such as separation, divorce, custody disputes or cultural problems.
