Magdeburg (dpa/sn) – The district of Harz receives funding of 13.5 million euros for faster internet. This was announced by the Ministry for Infrastructure and Digital on Monday in Magdeburg. With the funding, the district is to be expanded with fiber optic networks across the board by the end of 2024, as Digital Minister Lydia Hüskens announced when the decision was handed over. According to this, around 2100 households, 1000 companies and almost 40 public institutions in several districts of Harzgerode, Ilsenburg and Wernigerode benefit from the funding.
