Esslingen (dpa / lsw) – A suspected gang of burglars in communities in the districts of Reutlingen and Esslingen, but also in Tübingen, Stuttgart and Fellbach, is said to have broken into apartment buildings and broken into apartments several times a day. During a check near the Autobahn in the Filder region, three suspects were finally noticed in a car, the public prosecutor’s office and the police said. The men were shadowed and the suspicion against the 28-year-old and his two alleged accomplices, aged 26 and 34, was confirmed. During a search of the trio’s apartments and shelters in Göppingen and Bad Boll, the investigators finally found what they were looking for: they discovered and confiscated pieces of jewelery and around 20,000 euros in cash.
While the 28-year-old was arrested in Göppingen, the handcuffs clicked for the other two men at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport – shortly before their booked flight to Tirana (Albania). Another 45-year-old man was also arrested, and jewelry was also found on him, which according to the police should come from burglaries. A fifth man, a 21-year-old, is believed to be the gang’s courier and was arrested by the police in Munich. In his car: around 180 pieces of jewelery and the sum of 45,000 euros built into the car. The man is also said to have been on his way to Albania.
