Leutkirch (dpa / lsw) – Two men and a woman are in custody for suspected smuggling of several kilograms of drugs. The 19 and 26-year-old men and the 23-year-old woman had bought the drug abroad, a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor said on Friday.
The trio was arrested by a special unit at a gas station in Rhineland-Palatinate on their way back last Friday. In the car were 2.3 kilograms of cocaine, 5 kilograms of hashish and a large amount of cash. In subsequent searches of the apartment, several grams of cocaine, numerous ecstasy tablets, gun ammunition and other five-figure cash were seized.
The trio was brought before a magistrate in Ravensburg on Saturday. They are now in custody.
