Ludwigsburg (dpa/lsw) – The MHP giants Ludwigsburg have reacted to the injury of their top player Prentiss Hubb and signed the American Will Cherry. The basketball Bundesliga team announced this on Thursday. The 31-year-old was active for the Fraport Skyliners from Frankfurt last season and has also played for Alba Berlin.
“He’s an experienced player with leadership qualities that gives us more depth in the guard position,” said Ludwigsburg head coach Josh King. “He’s physically strong and has the ability to play both on and off the ball, which will help us in the important games ahead.”
Hubb, 23, recently underwent surgery for a ligament injury in his foot. He is expected to be out for several weeks, as the Swabians had announced.
