Stuttgart (dpa/lsw) – From wooden mowers to self-propelled combine harvesters: On Tuesday, the German Agricultural Museum (DLM) at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart celebrated its 50th anniversary. On this occasion, a steam-powered threshing machine was used again.
Agricultural implements have been exhibited in Hohenheim since 1832, at that time still in Hohenheim Castle. In the middle of the 20th century, the equipment was temporarily stored in a magazine before the Agricultural Museum was founded in 1972. Since then, the history of agriculture has been shown there on an area of ??around 5700 square meters.
