Baden-Württemberg: man died during forestry work in the district of Ortenau

Wolfach (dpa / lsw) – A man died in the district of Ortenau while felling trees. The police are currently assuming that he was killed by a tree or parts of a branch. The 53-year-old had been in a forest near Wolfach since the early hours of Monday to clear up storm wood, the police said on Tuesday. Relatives went looking for him in the evening and found him lifeless in the forest. According to the police, there is no evidence of third-party negligence.
