The control center at the Mannheim police has been updated to the latest state of the art. The country has invested millions in this. It is now officially operational.
Mannheim (dpa / lsw) – Here 110 emergency calls come in from the entire Rhein-Neckar district, operations are managed and investigators are brought together in the event of major events – in the management and situation center of the Mannheim police. It was technically updated for 15 million euros. On Monday (10.30 a.m.) representatives of the Ministry of Finance responsible for real estate in the state handed over the key to the Mannheim police chief Siegfried Kollmar. The complex from 1903 was equipped with the latest building technology and fire protection, among other things.
According to information from the Ministry of the Interior, the management and situation center in Heilbronn had recently been modernized for 29 million euros. Unlike in Mannheim, an extension was built there with almost 200 workstations, also intended for the management and situation center.
