Bavaria: Driver crashes into a tree and dies at the scene of the accident

Holzkirchen (dpa / lby) – A man left the road in the Miesbach district with his car and had a fatal accident. The 33-year-old came off the road to the right in a long left-hand bend near Holzkirchen, steered heavily against it and then went left into the embankment, the police said on Tuesday. The car overturned and the roof hit a tree. The driver suffered serious injuries in the accident on Monday evening and died on the spot. It was initially unclear why the man left the roadway. The police took over the investigation. The property damage was estimated at around 24,000 euros. The federal highway 13 was completely closed for more than three hours.
