Munich (dpa / lby) – A driver fled from the police at high speed through Munich and over the Autobahn and had an accident. The escape trip came about when officials wanted to check the car on Sunday morning, a police spokesman said. According to current knowledge, an 18-year-old without a driver’s license was behind the wheel. Two other people were also in the car. In Munich, the driver stopped briefly and let a woman get out. He then grazed a parked car with his car and then drove to Starnberg on the A95 motorway at “greatly excessive speed”.
After the subsequent drive through Starnberg, the 18-year-old drove back via the A925, as it was said. In the driveway to the A95, he crashed his car into the guardrail. He then left the car and ran away with his remaining passenger. The slightly injured 18-year-old was found shortly afterwards with the help of a helicopter. He came to a hospital. He is now being investigated for fleeing from a traffic accident, endangering traffic and driving without a license. The other two involved were still unknown as of Sunday afternoon.
