Karlstein am Main (dpa / lby) – Because he wanted to get his basketball out of the track bed, a 21-year-old triggered the emergency braking of a regional express in Lower Franconia. The young man left the track bed at the train station in Karlstein am Main (Aschaffenburg district) just in time and was unharmed, as the federal police announced on Monday.
According to the information, the train driver made an emergency stop and came to a standstill 100 meters away. No one was injured when the train braked. The federal police then found the 21-year-old on the train he wanted to take. They took him to the station. The man who was wanted by the police anyway must now also answer for the dangerous intervention in rail traffic.
