Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin have been married for 25 years. But last September, the action hero lost his wife almost forever. The 76-year-old admits that her love comeback has taught him a lot.
Sylvester Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin lived apart for a month, in between she even filed for divorce from him. But in mid-October, the Hollywood star and the former model managed what many other couples are denied in times of crisis: they found each other again. The 76-year-old “Rocky” and “Rambo” star has now spoken to the “Sunday Times” about the “reawakened” relationship.
“Let’s just say it’s been a very tumultuous time,” Stallone admitted when asked about the personal upheaval. “There was a reawakening of what was more precious than anything, which is my love for my family. It takes precedence over my work and that was a tough lesson.”
So one of those lessons included a revelation about his relationship with his children. Stallone shares daughters Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20, with Flavin, and two sons with his ex-wife Sasha Czack: Sage and Seargeoh, 43. Sage was 36 when he died of a heart attack. “I wasn’t paying enough attention growing up, I was so career driven,” the action hero admitted.
Now he’s taking that lesson in fatherhood to heart as he tries to rebuild relationships with his daughters. “I ask them about their day and they started out a bit monosyllabic at first,” he explained. “Then I heard one say, ‘I was just thinking about you.’ “Oh my god. I’ve never heard that in my life. When a daughter knows she’s being taken care of, she’s always there.”
Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin met in 1988. After a brief separation, they married in 1997 and had three daughters. On August 19, 2022, Flavin filed for divorce in Palm Beach County, Florida. “I am saddened to announce that after 25 years of marriage I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone,” she told People magazine. A few weeks later, the actor’s spokesman announced the reconciliation.
