CaixaBank plans to carry out operational integration by fusion with Bankia on November 12, a date from which card contracts of Bankia’s former customers will be transmitted to the subsidiary of consumption financing and means of payment CaixaBank Payments &
Consumer, with its corresponding changes under conditions.

The Bank reveals this key date in the process of integration into a communication addressed to its customers from Bankia, which informs of the products they have contracted will suffer some changes under conditions from such an integration of operating systems.

Already in the presentation of results of the first semester, the bank announced that the program ‘for being you’ of Bankia would be integrated into the program ‘day by day’ of CaixaBank.
In the new communication, which has had Europe Press access, it is reported that the change will be effective on November 12.

Bankia’s former customers will not need to change cards after such operational integration, but may continue to operate normally with that of Bankia until it automatically be renewed when its expiration date approaches.

They will have at their disposal the offices network and the more than 13,000 ATMs of CaixaBank.
Of course, debit cards will cease to be free for linked customers, because CaixaBank charges its customers a maintenance fee of 36 euros for debit cards.

CaixaBank will begin to charge customers from Bankia the maintenance fee of their debit cards as of January 1, 2022, although customers who in October 2021 comply with the requirements of the current program ‘for being you’
They will have to start paying for them until June 2022, as it advances ‘five days’.

Although debit cards will not be free in any case, customers from Bankia will be exempt from paying maintenance fee if they hire the ‘MyCard’ credit card, which liquidates payments every two days or with the frequency that the client chooses
, as long as they meet the link conditions required by the program ‘day by day’ of CaixaBank.

These conditions are home to a payroll or enter more than 600 euros per month or 6,000 a year, have a pension of more than 300 euros per month or maintain a superior balance in investment funds, portfolios, savings insurance or pension plans.

The client must meet one of the three previous conditions and, in addition, have three or more domiciled receipts or perform a minimum of three purchases with each trimester.
In the event that this condition is not fulfilled, ‘day by day’ has a quarterly cost of 15 euros.

Customers from Bankia will also have the CaixAbankNow App, which will replace the Bankia digital banking, where they can see and manage their cards, as well as authorize operations in electronic commerce.

As for purchases in shops through mobile, users will be able to continue performing them with CaixaBaknow, although considering some considerations as of November 12.

Thus, those who paid using Apple Pay or Samsung Pay apps, should not perform any action, since they will be able to continue operating normally with them, even if they will need CaixaBaknow to manage their cards and visualize their movements.

On your side, customers who had the mobile payment been configured on their Bankia app or Google Pay, they must configure the mobile payment again at the CaixAbankNow application, not being able to use their cards through
Said Apps.

In the case of users who pay through PayPal, after integration they will be able to associate their cards and visualize their movements through the PayPal Web and App, can not do it already through its digital banking from technological integration
