The next regional and municipal elections on May 28 are already beginning to take shape. Thus, until next May 18, you can also request the certificate of registration in the corresponding electoral roll for voting by mail and until May 24, you can cast your vote at the Post Office.
Obtaining this certificate is an essential requirement to be able to vote by correspondence and it can be requested electronically through the website www.correos.es or in person at any Post Office in Spain.
The request to vote by mail must be made personally by each voter, except in the case of illness or disability accredited by means of an official medical certificate that prevents them from personally formulating said request.
For the digital request of the certificate on the Correos website, the interested party must prove their identity by means of an electronic signature and accept the systems recognized by the Ministry of Industry and the electronic DNI.
In order to expedite procedures and avoid waiting, Correos offers the option of making an appointment to request a vote in offices, through the app itself, the Correos website or the Virtual Office. To do this, the voter must select the available office where they have a prior appointment and, finally, choose the day and time that best suits them.
Correos will deliver the applications received at the Provincial Delegations of the Electoral Census Office, who will send the applicants, as of May 8, the necessary documentation so that they can vote by mail.
