With the squid game still harvesting torrents of success and public, Netflix has already prepared the premiere of a series called to become another global phenomenon.
Or that is at least what the streaming platform intends.
It is called Rumbo to Hell, it is also a Korean production and takes the signature of Yeon Sang-Ho (train to Busan) as director and screenwriter.
To open Boca, Netflix has just launched the trailer of a replenishment of suspense, monsters, violence and creativity.
Heading to hell (Hellbound in the International Version), with the premiere scheduled for November 19, tells the story supernatural beings that appear suddenly to condemn people to the rule.
For many, these creatures have arisen to create social and religious chaos as a result of the sins of humans, an idea that is used by a sect to win a legion of adepts.
Others, on the other hand, choose to investigate what is behind that terrifying mystery and how to try to end that hellish army.
To give life to the characters, the series has a cast of first level actors: Yoo Ahin, Kim Hyunjoo, Park Jeongmin, Won Jina, Yang Ikjune, Kim Doyon, Kim Singrock, Ryu Kyungsoo and Lee Re, among others.
For now, the new creation of Yeon Sang-Ho has received official invitations to attend the 46th Toronto International Film Festival, being the first Korean series at the prestigious Canadian citation, at 26th International Film Festival and
At 65th London Film Festival at the British Film Institute of 2021.
The trailer anticipates what the spectator will find in a direction to hell: restlessness, startles, deaths, vestigels and a rapid rhythm.
Will it be enough to devastate as the squid game has done?
The series is based on The Hellbound, comic created by Yeon Sang-Ho himself and the cartoonist Choi Gyu-Seok and acclaimed by criticism since his launch just a few months ago.
This graphic work can give us clues (or not) of the course of heading to hell.
In the comic, people are receiving a message in which only the name of the person is included and the time left of life (also in the series heading to hell, as seen at the beginning of the trailer, people receive the
Fatal announcement).
There is no possible escape: when the countdown is exhausted, supernatural beings emerge to condemn you to hell.
Obviously, society collapses and springs a new religious sect that considers these events as a divine punishment.
The last new world order in the universe of the series.
