Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – The trial against a 34-year-old firefighter ended with an acquittal on Monday before the Frankfurt District Court. According to the verdict, the series of arson charges that the public prosecutor had accused him of could not be solved. According to the indictment, the man should have set fire to the forest and field districts of various parts of Kelkheim (Main-Taunus-Kreis) and caused major damage. AZ 3230 Js 234644/21
In the summer of last year, several trees, a hunting hide and a piece of meadow burned. Originally, the police and prosecutors believed that the fireman was the perpetrator. However, in the process it turned out that there were no traces at the crime scenes or direct eyewitnesses. The defendant vigorously denied the seven alleged acts. Both the court and the public prosecutor’s office therefore voted for acquittal. The judgment is already final.
