Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – A passenger was seriously injured in an S-Bahn in Frankfurt with knife wounds. The 41-year-old was operated on, the police said on Monday. Shortly after the crime, a 39-year-old was arrested and taken into custody. His motive was initially unclear. On Sunday afternoon, the 41-year-old was sitting in the S1 when the alleged perpetrator ran past him, stabbed him twice in the upper body and got off the train at the Konstablerwache. The man was identified with the help of surveillance camera footage and was arrested when he entered his apartment in Frankfurt.
