Darmstadt (dpa/lhe) – SV Darmstadt 98 has to pay a fine of 23,400 euros because the fans of the second division club have ignited prohibited pyrotechnics. This was the verdict of the sports court of the German Football Association, as the DFB announced on Wednesday. The incident happened before the home game on September 11 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The kick-off was delayed by a few minutes. The association can use an amount of up to 7,800 euros for security or violence prevention measures. The lilies have approved the verdict, so it is final.
