Haina/Korbach (dpa/lhe) – A 19-year-old man escaped from a psychiatric clinic in Haina (monastery) in northern Hesse. The police in Korbach said he escaped from the site into an adjacent forest on Tuesday morning. Less than two hours after the escape, the man was discovered in the Löhlbach district of Haina. He allowed himself to be arrested without resistance.
At the time of the escape, the man was wearing flip-flops and had handcuffs on. The police were looking for the 19-year-old, and a police helicopter was also in action. In the meantime, the police advised against addressing suspicious people and asked in a message not to pick up hitchhikers in the area around Haina (Waldeck-Frankenberg district).
