Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – Last year, more than 59.6 million kilograms of chocolate and other foods containing cocoa were imported to Hesse. The goods had a value of more than 357.7 million euros, as the State Statistical Office announced on Monday for International Chocolate Day on Tuesday. According to the information, the shock import increased by 7.5 percent compared to the previous year. The largest quantities were delivered to Hesse in 2021 from Belgium (20.5 million kilograms), Italy (15.8 million kilograms) and Poland (11.7 million kilograms).
