Butzbach (dpa/lhe) – The police discovered a hemp plantation in a house in central Hesse. So much material was found that a container had to be ordered for removal, officials said on Friday. They found what they were looking for in Butzbach. A 55-year-old man is said to have operated the plantation in the basement of the house.
During his search on Tuesday, more than 80 partially harvestable cannabis plants, equipment for their cultivation and several hundred grams of marijuana were seized. The 55-year-old is being investigated on suspicion of cultivation and trafficking in illegal narcotics.
