Schwerin (dpa/mv) – The state refugee council of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has warned against the exploitation of immigrants on construction sites. This week, IG Bau wants to visit three construction sites in the northeast together with other organizations, as the chairwoman of the MV refugee council, Ulrike Seemann-Katz, announced on Tuesday. As part of a nationwide week of action, there were a total of more than 20 construction sites. The State Refugee Council is taking part in two campaigns in Rostock and Stralsund with its “Fair Integration” project. The aim is to get in touch with as many migrant construction workers as possible and to inform them about their labor rights in Germany.
