Mukran (dpa/mv) – Three people were seriously injured in a bus accident on the island of Rügen on Tuesday. As a police spokeswoman said, the bus came off the road to the right early in the morning on Landesstraße 29 near Mukran (Vorpommern-Rügen district) and crashed into a tree. The exact cause of the accident is still unclear. All seriously injured from the bus had to be taken to a hospital. The property damage was estimated at 60,000 euros. It will also be checked whether the bus driver had health problems. Further details – such as the total number of passengers – are still unknown.
