Greifswald (dpa / mv) – On the federal highway 109 between Anklam and Stralsund there was a traffic accident with three serious injuries. During an overtaking maneuver late Wednesday afternoon, the car of a 29-year-old driver collided with the car of a 64-year-old taxi driver on the opposite lane, as the Neubrandenburg police announced late Wednesday evening. The 29-year-old had therefore not seen that the taxi driver driving in front of a truck had wanted to turn left onto a dirt road.
Both the taxi driver and the overtaking and his 37-year-old passenger were seriously injured in the collision. They came to the University Hospital in Greifswald. The road was completely closed for two hours.
