Cologne (dpa / lnw) – The director of Art Cologne, Daniel Hug, has warned climate activists against attacks on the works shown during the art fair in Cologne. “At Art Cologne, the pictures are not behind glass and they are mostly privately owned. That can get expensive, I wouldn’t recommend it,” Hug told the “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger” (Saturday edition).

In the past few weeks, climate activists have caused discussions across Europe with attacks on museum works, in which the pictures protected by glass remained intact, but there was still considerable material damage. Art Cologne opens in Cologne on November 16th and runs until November 20th.
