Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – Numerous people are expected for Christopher Street Day on Saturday in Magdeburg. Under the motto “Queer Europe – Never gonna give you up”, the event with demonstration and city festival has an international motto. “We are expecting an incredible number of guests – including national guests,” said co-organizer Falko Jentsch from the CSD Magdeburg association. “We’re looking forward to a big, beautiful, colorful event with great confidence.”
It starts with a political discussion on the stage (12:00 p.m.) before the demo and procession starts on the Alter Markt (1:00 p.m.). The train pulls through the city center with around ten trucks and a few groups on foot. He should be led by the organizers with a banner and the drag queen Tatjana Taft in a convertible.
Despite the restrictions caused by the corona pandemic, the CSD in Magdeburg could also take place in 2020 and 2021. Around 5,000 people took part last year.
