Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – The district administrator of the Burgenland district, Götz Ulrich, becomes president of the Saxony-Anhalt district association. The district administrators and district council chairmen of all eleven districts voted for Ulrich on Thursday, according to a statement. As of July 12, he succeeds Michael Ziche, who is retiring as District Administrator of the Altmark district of Salzwedel. Götz Ulrich, born in Naumburg in 1969, has been at the head of the Burgenland district since 2014. He was last confirmed in office in April 2021. His term of office lasts until mid-July 2028.
